post Wedding of Sarah & Sam at Hooten Pagnell Church

October 7th, 2008

Filed under: General, Weddings — Nick Lukey @ 12:53 pm

Sarah and Sam married at Hickleton Church, with a wedding reception at Mount Pleasant. Sarah with a smile a mile wide, and Sam with an awesome kiwi sense of humour, and not afraid to show his true feelings on the day.

A lovely couple to be with on their special day, even the rain held off. A few images of the day.

Great day in Liverpool, although it was on the blue side and I’m a red.The Church was simply stunning almost piccasso-esque in its colour and style of stained glass. The sun shone, the sky as blue as you could wish for.

The reception was held at the Hillbark on the wirrel, a lovely Tudor style affair set in the heart of the country. Not to forget Jacky’s go for it attitude clambering onto an ex army landrover for a group pic. Thanks to you both for giving me the opportunity to shoot your day.

post Groups photographs at Weddings

October 6th, 2008

When meeting clients to discuss booking me to shoot their day, I am asked if I shoot groups, some people may feel I have an aversion to shooting these. Every wedding I shoot will contain some group pictures I just dont make it last for an hour. Groups are important at weddings, family and friends workmates etc. I just will not shoot dozens of what I term grip and grins. It is important to know that shooting large groups of people takes time, you end up waiting for people. It becomes quite frustrating for the bride and groom, as it is time when they could be relaxing with friends and family alike. If a couple ask me to take a picture of them with a member of family or a guest at the wedding of course I will take the picture, it would be pointless not too. Note the little boy in the gallery pics, think he got a little frustrated at being told to stand up when clearly he wanted to do something else.

A great deal of my studio work is shooting portfolios for model’s some of this is glamour, developing this theme further led me to incorporate this into a boudoir shoot so the resulting images are sexy and daring but I like to think a little more sensual. I am now shooting boudoir packages, so if you want a fab idea for a Christmas gif, or maybe as a treat yourself idea THEN…..WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR :)
